Sharwimbo River Camp is a magical place in the Mashi Conservancy. It has a prime position on a small hill overlooking the Kwando River, and its reed-beds, riverine vegetation, savannah and floodplains. Every tented chalet has a river view! The name ‘Sharwimbo’ is an old name that means 'the place of music’. Among the music that can be heard is the bubbling sound of coppery-tailed coucals, the territorial grunts of hippos, the ‘kwe’-ing of grey louries and the ringing call of fish eagles.
